I got a warning on my other blog that Shabby Blogs content could be dangerous due to malicious mallware on their site. I removed all Shabby Blogs content from that blog and from this one, including my grab buttons which used Shabby Blogs code. After I removed the button and code and the unfed Husband button from my other blog, the warning disappeared so hopefully that took care of the problem. My blogs should be safe, as they weren't directly affected, the warning was a cross post from Shabby Blogs.
Just thought that you guys who have Shabby Blogs content might like to to know. If you get the warning, remove any content/code fron Shabby Blogs and you should be okay. :)

*sigh*
Nothing to that title, really. I just drew a blank when my cursor hit the box. :P
So, yeah. Yesterday was... Meh. 1700 and something calories. Higher than I intended. I suppose I need to get the silliness out of my system before tomorrow. Not that I am "having a last binge/meal/splurge" type thing, I just didn't pay close attention and forgot to write a few things down. Lesson: I have to be constantly mindful and on top of everything, at all times. Slacking isn't helpful to me, yet. Constant vigilance That is my watchword. Or watchwords. Whatever. :P
Coffee and oatmeal are down for brekkie and I am busily slurping my water. I use a little lemon juice from a squeezy plastic lemon to jazz it up a little bit. A tiny hint of lemon makes it go down a lot easier. And since so much has to go down... Might as well make it as easy as possible.
Say, would any of you be offended if I change my Followers title from Very Important Visitors to My Realm to My Loyal Subjects? I think that anyone who reads me would get that it is meant tongue in cheek, not seriously. I originally wanted to title it that way, but I didn't want to piss anyone off or make them think I think I am something I am not. Hopefully, anyone new will understand that. :D
Geeze, I hope it warms up and really starts melting this snow. I seriously want out of here, later.

A Pretty Good Day
Today has gone very well. I got a good deal of protein and that helped me keep things nicely under control. I didn't feel as if I wanted to snack between meals and I didn't feel ravenous at mealtime. I still need to have dinner... Haven't decided what I am going to have. Maybe a bagel and some soup... I am not too sure.
Other than that, not too much going on, around here. It was a fairly quiet day. Got the housework done early with Husband's help, played on my 'puter, did my nails, watched some recorded episodes of Parking Wars. That show is hilarious. We both get a kick out of it.
The Sucky Little Drummer Boy is at it, this evening.
Say, does anyone know how to change a blog template from a 2 column Minima to a three column Minima without having to start a new blog or putting the current one at risk? Anyone done it? If so, was it difficult? I would really like to convert this blog and my nail blog to three column, if at all possible. And if it is and I am able to do it, I promise to write a how-to so that anyone else who might be interested can do it, too. :D
Hungry... Want food... I think I will make a salad. Maybe open that pomegranate that is sitting in my fruit bowl, too. :D

My E-Mail Address
If any of you have tried to contact me by e-mail at the address that was listed on my contact page, I am so sorry. I just learned, tonight that I, the moron of the century had my own e-mail address written down wrong. I have corrected it and it is working just fine.
Does anyone have a spare brain lying around?

A Little Bloggy Business: Newer Followers :) And Random Nattering
Hello love bugs. I see, much to my delight that I have new followers. Hello! :D
If you are following me and have me on your blogroll and would like me to do the same and I haven't yet, could you please drop me a comment in this post with your blog name and URL? I am not good at finding blogs by clicking on icon pics. I think I have also forgotten to follow a couple of URLs given to me in the past. And I apologise for that. But I would like to follow you and add you, so please, pretty please, leave me your info?
It is going to be another hot one, today. Summer is definitely getting in it's last licks and torturing us with heat. At least it isn't humid. See, there is always something for which to be thankful. :D
The air got smokey, last night but it seems to be clearer, this morning. If it stays decently clear, we can walk, tonight. Yay!!!! I am so ready to get out and have a good walk. I miss my walks, terribly. And I really, really, really, really need a little time out of this freaking house. I am getting to the point that I am fantasizing about cans of gasoline and lit matches.
Housework is done for the day. I keep a very tidy, clean house so it doesn't take me long to get everything done in the morning. And, when he is off, Husband helps, so that makes it go even faster. That is one of his saving graces, his helpfulness around the house. Even after a long, hard day at work, he will, without complaint, cheerfully help with dinner, cleaning up the kitchen and making sure the house is neat and tidy before we hit the hay. And he often scoops the litter box, sweeps the laundry room and kitchen floors in the morning, before he leaves so that I don't step on kitty litter tracked around by a certain set of little orange paws in the night with my bare feet in the morning. So, I guess he isn't all bad... :)
One day, soon I need to sit down and rip my CDs to my computer. I did that with my other laptop and I loved being on my puter with my ear buds in, listening to music.
Food was good, yesterday. I came in at 1144 calories. I can be happy with that. :D
Okay, I have to skedaddle. I have blogs to read.
Later, gators.

A Little Organizing
Thanks to the kind help of Katie J. I have finally figured out how to do more pages at the top of my blog page. Yay! I love it! :D And it was so easy. Why did it confound me for so long? lol
It is a gorgeous day, here. Cooler, windy and dryer than it has been for a long time. I am liking it.
I need to run, right now. We are going to go pick up the Spawn and hit the trail. I hope it is dry enough out there. If not, we will just have to find another place to walk. I need the exercise!
Okay, later, gators. Hugs to everyone!

Mercurial Me
So, I decided it was time to lighten things up and brighten my blog a bit. I really liked the last look but it was getting pretty tough on my old eyeballs. Damn. I have old eyeballs...
I have a question. Back in 2008, at my heaviest, I weighed between 420 and 430 pounds. Huh? Between? How can you weigh between? Let me 'splain, Lucy. At that time, I owned an analog dial scale that had a 400 pound capacity and when I wouldtorture step on it, it would whirl up, up, up, up and past 400 then come to a grinding halt at 420, 426, 430, 435, 424... You get the idea. It wasn't exactly fabulously accurate past it's stated capacity. So, in the interest of fairness I peg my top weight ever at 420 pounds. I suppose I could claim 430 tho why I would want to...
That year (2008) I lost about sixty pounds and then got off track, started spouting all of my old, stupid excuses to myself and gained almost all of it back, again. By this February, when I started this blog, I was back up to about 400, again. I didn't know for certain, since I had murdered my scale, stomping back on it by accident and killing it. But, from the way my bod looked and felt, my clothes "fit" and so forth, I knew I was about 400. And I also figured it by my average weight loss, after I got my fab digital scale.
Anyhoozle... Do I count total weight lost from my attempt in 2008 which, if I did I have lost a total of 85 pounds. Or, do I start figuring it from 400 pounds, the closest I can figure I weighed when I began this blog back in February, which would make my total lost so far 65 pounds (and change... I am not bothering with the .whatever at this moment). So, what do you think, oh, wise and wonderful ones? Do I get to claim the whole enchilada or just most of it?
My head is a little calmer. I am down to a Cat 2. Part of that could be the Aleve I took for my hip. We'll see how it is, in the morning. I am thinking of trying a combination of glucosamine and Omega 3 for my hips and see if they help. I know I need to get in and see a doc and I will... When I feel ready to face it. The doc and weight and so forth, you know. *rolling my eyes*
Want to hear something crazy? I am thinking about learning how to use the built in web cam in my laptop and trying to shoot a vlog, one day. Thinking about it... So not ready to go there, just yet. Posting still pictures is hard enough, right now. lol
Psycho is on again. That movie has been running a lot, lately. I know a few people I'd like to go off all Norman Bates on. Like the asshole who was behind Tammy in the supermarket the other day! Some people seriously don't need to be out in public among decent people. I mean, really!
That mosquito bite on my arm is making me insane! I feel like chewing my arm off above the bite.

Reductionista?
I was mindlessly surfing around the interwebz the other day and happened upon a bloggish type of site about health/nutrition. I don't remember which one it was... Must not ave been that great, since it made so little an impression on me. I do remember one thing I read there, tho. That calorie counting is now "the hot thing" in weight loss and dieting. So, does that mean that those of us who count calories are now "in"? Are we the "it girls/guys" of dieting and weight loss? Is carb counting now "soooo last season"? Is it okay to eat bread, pasta and potatoes, again? Providing we count the calories, of course... ;) lol
I have been at this game, on and off for the better part of my life. I have seen a lot of weight loss methods come raging into vogue and then die fast and quiet as the newest thing hits the airwaves. I can recall carb counting having two major heydays. Calorie counting, several. There was the whole Low Fat Movement (in which calories were never mentioned!) that helped result in America becoming one of the fattest countries on the face fo the planet. Different forms of weight loss surgery seem to cycle on and off our radar. From what I am seeing here on the blogs, bands are hot and much loved. But will they remain the fair haired child of weight loss surgery? Or will something innovative, sexy and oh, so effective bump them out of favour and out of the hearts of those who love and have them?
We are a strange and fascinating species. We want the best. The newest. That which is perceived to be better and desired.
But who makes these determinations? Who sets the fashions of weight loss? Who are the unseen designers strutting this year's method down the runway before our ever seeking eyes and desperate, sobbing hearts?
I am endlessly entertained by weight loss methods waxing and waning in popularity. Coming in and going out. Netting the architects of these methods untold billions of dollars and driving us all crazier than a belfry full of bats.
The bottom line is, whether you have surgery or not, count calories, carbs, fat grams or points; if you take in less food energy than you need to fuel your bod, if you add a little exercise and work to get your head and your shit straight, you will lose weight. It is that simple.
AND!!!!!
It is that maddeningly complicated.
*I just want to make it clear that I am just ruminating and rambling, here. I am not, in any way, shape or form laying criticism on anyone for any method she/he decides to use to lose weight. I follow and support people who, like me have not had surgery and are counting calories. I follow and support those who have had surgery. Or count carbs. Or do Weight Watchers. Or Medifast. I am very much a live and let live kinda girl. And if it is working for you, if it is enhancing your health and getting you to your goal, even if it isn't my personal choice, you are going to have me in your corner, cheering you every step of the way.*
***************************************************************
Those Boca burgers I have? I forgot to mention that they have cheese in them. If you have never tried a veggie burger, fear it not, Grasshopper. I thought that they were going to be nasty. They actually remind me a lot of a turkey burger. But a little softer. A bit less "chewy". And amazingly tasty. I have the black bean Morningstar Farms on my list to try, too. I also would like to pick up the veggie crumbles, some taco mix, lo cal cheese, sour cream, tortillas. Yes... Mama is jonesing for tacos. And I think I know how to make them yummy and healthy, too. :D
I didn't do BYOC, this week. I am in a weird mood. (When am I not? ;)) I am also trying to come up with enough material to do my award tell alls.
I didn't walk, today. I had to rest, again. Gah!!! I should be out and pounding the trail, tomorrow. As long as it isn't storming... We had a good storm, today. Lots of thunder, lightening and rain today.
Okay. 'Nuff of this shit. I have to pee and move around a little my hip is yelling at me. lol
Oh! I think I got everyone who follows me, whose blogs links I could find faved, followed and added to my blogroll. If I have missed you, it is because I couldn't find a link to your blog, if you have one. If you would like me to pop in, follow and add you, please drop me a comment or e-mail at the addy in my profile with a url and I will be there and you will be added. :D

How to Jazz Up Your Blog
I have read some comments in different blogs about bloggers who would like to jazz up their blog, change the look and make it more them. Well my friends, this is an easy-peasy proposition. Really! Trust me. If I can do this, anyone can because I am most likely the least tech savvy person on the face of this great green globe and I can do it. :D
A couple of things before we begin. The sites to which I will link require that your blog template settings is the Minima setting. If you blog isn't Minima, you will have to change that. You can do that by delving into the settings feature on your dashboard. Most sites have designs for two and three column Minima templates.
If you don't want to have the Minima template, there are sites for backgrounds for your blog, too but I am not familiar with them. But the process for installing them should be pretty similar.
Okay, now that you are sure that you have a Minima template, let's go shopping! :D
There are a ton of sites on the webz that offer pretty designs for blogs for free. If you want something highly customized, you can find sites that will custom design something for you for a fee.
Here are some links:
The Cutest Blog on the Block. This is where I found my current background.
Hot Bliggety Blog
Shabby Blogs
Dotty Dot Dot Designs
Cute and Cool Designs... A particular favourite of mine!
There are many, many sites to suite every taste and blog template.
*It is vitally important that you chose the right background type. If your blog is two column (like mine) you must choose a background for two column blogs. If your blog is three column, you must choose a background for three column blogs. They are not interchangeable.*
Okay, now that you have gone shopping and have found the background that makes you squeal, it is time to make it yours! All yours! Muahahahahaha!
Oops! Sorry. Got a little carried away, there.
When you find your design, make sure that you have a second browser open and your blog is up and you are signed in. Now, capture the code for the background. This is easy as falling off a chair. Some sites have you click on the design to find the code, some have the code right under the design. Copy the code to your puter. If you have never copy and pasted, it is really easy.
Here's how:
Set your cursor at the beginning of the text/code you want to copy to your computer. Now, hold down your left click button and scroll slowly down the text/code highlighting it as you go. Just highlight what you want to copy and eventually paste. This takes a tad bit of patience and practice, just take your time until you get the hang of it.
Once the text/code is highlighted, release the left click and, with the text/code highlighted, press Ctrl c on your keyboard. (Just press the Ctrl key and while holding it down, press the c.) You have now copied the text/code to your computer.
Once you have captured the code and have it in your puter, it is time to install that bad boy.
Go to your other browser with your blog up and you signed in. Since Blogger changed the Design feature (which I find highly annoying, but whatever...) I click New Post, then Dashboard. On Dashboard, I go to Design. When the page for making changes comes up:
Go to the top, under your title and click on the Add a Gadget. A box will open with a bunch of options.
Choose HTML/ JavaScript. Open that box and in the big text box, paste the code that you captured from the background site.
Pasting is easy, too. Just click your cursor in the top left of the box, then press Ctrl v keys on your computer. (Press the Ctrl key and while holding it down, press v.) The code will appear in the box. (Sometimes it doesn't work and you will need to go back and recapture the code, just repeat the process, nothing to freak out over. :D)
Now click Save. And click View Blog and admire your pretty new background. :D
I will do a post on headers, soon. 'cause what good is a new background without a schnazzy header to go with it? :D

Okay, Okay, I Did One
According to the rules for bloggers, I have written and posted a disclosure policy. It resides at the bottom of the page.
Guess I should have done this sooner, huh? :S

Blog Business
Okay... I finally got the right profile to come up and, wonder of wonders, I am now following everyone on my blogroll with my correct profile.
'Bout frakking time.
:D
If any readers are not currently on my blogroll or not being followed and would like me to add you, please drop me a comment with your URL.
I know that I have a few followers that I have still not located your blog. I am not always good at tracking them down. (I need a huge, flashing neon link guiding me there! lolol) If that is the case for you, please leave me your URL in a comment and I will get it done and add you. :D

Better, Today
Okay, I am not so freaked out, today and my perspective has shifted back into normal. I guess I needed to have a little meltdown, throw a tantrum to appreciate just how much better my life is, even after such a short time a such a small loss.
It takes an afternoon of unadvised eating to drive home just how happy I am eating right and taking better care of myself. :D
I had my customary two cups of leaded and some cantaloupe and yoghurt for breakfast and I am drinking lots of water. Weather permitting (we have a thunderstorm going, right now) I plan to take a walk, later.
It is cooler, today. Cloudy and thundery. I have most of my windows closed, it is that cool. I woke up this morning frozen under my sheet and ultra lightweight wool and silk blanket. I may have to toss my duvet back on my bed just for the next night or two. My cat agrees, he was all curled up against my body, trying to get warm when I woke up. lol
I got more followers blogs added to my blogroll. If you are a follower and don't see your blog on my blogroll, please, leave me a comment with your url and I will add you. I am not clicking follow, because stupid Blogger is confused and follows blogs for this site with my other Blog profile and I don't want to confuse my readers or clutter their blogs with my profile madness. lol But I am reading and adding you . I promise. :D :D

Doing a Little Redecorating
Hey there. :D
I decided to pop in a new background, for a bit. There are so many beautiful backgrounds and changing them is so easy that I have decided that I am going to give my blog a new look from time to time. I hope I don't confuse anyone with all the changes. :D
I have blogs to follow and to add to my blogroll. I have them faved an am reading them. I just need to take a few minutes and move them to my blogroll. That takes time... For some reason Blogger doesn't like it when I try to add too many at once and I end up doing one at a time so that I don't try to add a bunch, have the function fail and then have to start over. Grrr!
Today went pretty well. It wasn't too warm, open windows and fans kept my comfy all day. The less I can get away with running the A/C, the better. Electric rates in this state are scandalously high and it costs a pretty penny to keep cool, around here.
I was a little hungry/munchy today. I didn't get out of control but I did feel a little as if I could slip out of control. I suppose that I am going to feel this way, from time to time. I need to get used to it, not let it scare me and learn to deal. I didn't do any out of line eating, but did make a couple of high-ish calorie choices. Including a big bagel for about 300 calories. It was good, but not 300 calories good.
I finished out my day at 1626. Acceptable. :)

Roll Call
Hello gentle readers. :D
I have made an effort to follow those who follow me and get you on my blogroll. But I know that I have not been entirely successful. I am a dork face and have not been able to find everyone and stupid me stuff like that. lol So, if you are a follower and would like me to read you and follow you and I have missed you, please, leave a comment with a URL to your blog.
If you are new to reading here and would like me to read and follow you, please go ahead and leave me a link. :D
I try very hard to read all of the blogs on my blogroll. It is easier, now that I am, for the most part all caught up with everyone. :D I am a sporadic commenter. I read and feel for people and really, really want to say something, to offer support or to help, I click the comment button and then stare at my cursor blinking in the reply box, mocking me as my mind goes blank. Then I hit the back button and run like the big old sissy I am. lol But I am here and I am reading and offering silent support, care and hugs. :D
Anyhoddle, yeah, please, let me know so I can add you if I haven't. :D :D
