The sun is shining. The birdies are singing and my allergies are so crazy bad. Ugh! My beak is a mass of misery and my eyes are burning and sticky and I wish that it would rain and settle the pollen for a while. A little relief from the symptoms would be lovely.
I have my sheets in the wash and I need to wash my quilt, as well. Patrick is going to wash his later, too. It seems as if some days that poor washer never stops running! lol
I have another headache and I need to do my coupons so i suppose I should get to it.
I am eating well, in control and calm of mind. This is good.

Awake
And doing laundry. Fun.
Coffee is going down and I am watching the finale of The Biggest Loser. I am annoyed about two of the finalists but what can I do about it? Nothing. I just have to be annoyed. Pudding Head and The Mouth Breather did the work. Too bad they were so unlikable and such asshats in the process. I am rooting for Kim.
Okay, I need to go put in another load and get my coffee and oatmeal. I also have a ton of photographs to edit for my nail blog. Back later with my Noms of the Day. :D

Facing the Music
I am a little obsessed with this: :D
The pipes on this gal! Yes, I am a fangirl. :)
Thank you all so much for your lovely, supportive comments. You can't even begin to grok what they did for me. *squishes everyone in bloggyland*
So. Accountability. We all need to grow up, grow a pair and admit our shit. It is a part of being an adult and becoming the person we want to be, deserve to be. So, I will admit my shit.
It is hard to admit my shit.
Seriously hard.
I mean... I would rather be locked in a circular room for 48 hours with Sarah Palin, Ann Coulter and Michelle Bachmann with Sean Hannity on a continuous loop on a loudspeaker than admit my shit. But in the interest if being an adult and accountable, here it is: I got on my scale last night and... I am up. Two pounds.
Ouch! That sound you just heard was a baseball bat to my solar plexus. Thanks, life. I needed that. A reality check. Knowing. It is better. Now I can get back to work and check this before it becomes a spiral back into three-four hundred pound hell. Not going back there. I can't and I won't.
Frost Princess can bite by big, dimpled white ass. She has had her fun. We all need to. But her moment in the sun is over. I am not saying that the little bitch is banished. Sadly, she seems to like me and it appears that she isn't moving on, anytime soon. Too bad I can't get her and Drazil together. The two of them could ride off into the sunset on Sheniqua's ass. Then there would be two gals who would have an easier time of it. :D
Speaking of Drazil (Me, you need a screen name, dude. Calling you Drazil is not fair to you and calling you Me... Well... It is just... Confusing. lol) I read that fantabulous comment you left me about what was said between you and Jen. It made me run away for a while. But it also filed me with an incredible glow. I wanted to squish you both. Maybe one day I will get to.
I have lost my writing flow. I had to pee while I was writing this and when I got downstairs, I decided to clean my Sanctuary so I scrubbed down my bathroom, dusted, vacuumed, fluffed my featherbed and made my bed, folded a basket of laundry and put it away, got another hamper full sorted and the first load in. Then, while I had a slice of sunshine, I grabbed my camera, lightbox and some nail polish gem jewelry that was sent to me for review and took some new photos. (The last batch I took were a super fail. *sigh* I hate my old, lameass camera. And I sooo need an Ott light! And a tripod. STAT!) Hopefully this batch will come out. It is now cloudy...
Stupid storm clouds! No rain, mind you. Oh, no! Just heat. Humidity. Clouds. No cool, refreshing downpours. No relief for the parched, thirsty land and trees. Dry storms, if the storms form at all. This Monsoon Season is, so far, a huge bust. See, I am always bitching about the weather. If it were raining a lot, I would probably be pissing and moaning about that, too. :P With the heat, humidity and general late Summer yuk, it is like living all snuggled up with Satan's nutsack.
So, where was I before I got off on this insane tangent? Oh, yeah. Accountability. I need to have more. And that means getting my lazy ass over here and blogging and getting it out on the screen instead of eating it. Yeah. I think that seeing an additional two pounds on the scale re firmed my resolve. Threw a bit of a scare into me. I admit, I expected the damage to be worse. If I hadn't been trying and restraining myself as much as I did, I would have done some serious fucking damage. If I had been chowing like I used to, I have no doubt that I would be right back up around the 300 mark. Or higher? Frightening, how fast, how easy it is to spiral out of control and have everything we work so hard for slip right through our fingers. I am not going there! I am not.
Okay, I hope that any of you who live anywhere up The Eastern Seaboard reading this who are in the possible path of Hurricane Irene are getting yourselves ready. Prepared and gassed up to get the hell out of Dodge. Please, heed the warnings, the evacuation orders and be safe! I do not want to hear about any of my bloggy buddies coming a cropper of this storm. Those who gas up and run away, live to blog another day! ;)
Time to go get that load out of the washer and toss it in my dryer and start the other load. Laundry. Dude! Where does it all come from?!?!

Tuesday Afternoon
I am having a Moody Blues moment. :D
Moar laundry, today. I had a hamper full of darks and I wanted to wash all of my "new" clothes. My new to me stuff was nice and clean but they were stale and a bit fusty from being in storage and I wanted to freshen them up and get the wrinkles out.
I am still freaking out at how small everything looks to my eyes. I am so accustomed to huge and I do mean huge! garments. To any "normal sized" person, these clothes look huge. To me, they are pretty damned tiny. And I am having trouble adjusting my mindset and accepting the fact that this is my current size, that they do, indeed fit me and I don't have to be afraid of them. Yes, I feel like a total goofball, being afraid of my clothes. lol
It is another pretty, pretty day. Windows are open, my ceiling fan is whirring softly and the birdies are raising a ruckus out there. My eating is going very well, so far. Brekkie was my coffee and a flat egg white omelet kinda thing with a little sauteed onion. I also had some cubed cantaloupe and some left over sugar free canned pears. Yum. Water is going down well. I am halfway through my daily requirement.
Okay, I need to go get the rest of my clothes out of the dryer, put William's in. When I get done, today I am not going anywhere near that frakking washer and dryer for at lest a few days! I am sick to death of doing laundry! Blech!

Lost in a Time Warp
Yesterday totally got away from me and went by in a flash. I got things done but didn't get much extra done or spend much time online. It was just a weird day. Kind of otherworldly
Yesterday wasn't a good day, food wise. I ended up at nearly 1500 calories. And didn't get all of my water. I was just careless and not paying attention. (Not whining to make you mental, Allen... ;) :P Just being accountable.) Shows to go me that I still have a shit load of work to do on myself and lessons to learn. Ongoing process. Maybe one day I will finally get it all right. lol My food is good, today and my water is going down as planned, as well. This will be a better day.
I don't get why I am struggling so much and so resistant. I am just going to have to work it out. My success and health are too important to not get this right.
On Sunday I decided that I wanted to take the downstairs master suite for myself and kick Pookey upstairs to the room I was inhabiting. I can now get up and down the stairs easily and decided that I wanted more space. And that big closet! Not to mention my own bathroom. Sharing one with a husband is bad for a marriage. Having my space downstairs also gives me a little much needed distance. A place where I can spread out a little and have my own time without thinking about the house, others persons in it and all of what I have to do on a daily basis. It is working out very nicely.
The switch wasn't without it's hitches. Moving Pookey's furniture up the stairs and mine down was a lot of work for the boyz. When they were bringing my dresser down, I heard them coming down the stairs with it and peeked out my door and there they are, nearly at the bottom and my dresser was upside down! And they didn't even notice. lol Wow, such observant men I have, here. lol It was no biggie, as all that was in there is clothes. They just got tossed around and disorganized. I thought it was funny that they didn't see it, tho.
One thing that wasn't so funny was when I tried to take an armful of stuff down the stairs. I had a big basket with no handles full of stuff with some hangars balanced on top and my old HP lappie in a computer bag over my shoulder and was about to head down when I lost my balance. The basket and it's contents went flying, everything tumbling down the stairs. I thought, for one horrifying moment I was going to follow it but luckily I fell backward and landed hard on my ass. I gave my back a good, hard jarring and I was a bit sore, yesterday. My back feels better, today. Now, to let my knees adjust. They are griping a little but they are getting better, too. Going up and down those stairs so much is turning out to be really good for me. And I am adjusting to carrying loads up and down, too. No more falls. I should be a Sherpa, soon. :D
We are having a little bit of very lovely Springlike weather before the next storm comes barreling in later this week. Highs in the upper sixties, near seventy. Brilliantly sunny, soft breezes. Nice. The storm is supposed to bring rain. It had better just be rain! Snow... Do. Not. Want!
My washing machine is beginning to make strange noises on some cycles. So is my dryer. Lord, please don't let them break down anytime soon. That is not an expense I need at this point and time. Gah!
Okay, I have laundry going, I need to dust, vacuum my broadloom and do a few other things and I need a shower. I also need to make some time to do my nails and catch up with blogs.
Oh. I did a strand test to see if I could lighten my hair. Fail! It is just too dark and resistant. Long gone are the days when I could slop a box of dye on it and get perfect, shimmering blonde. It is time to go to a good salon and put my tresses in the hands of an expert colourist. I want my hair coloured but I just don't have the expertise to safely and successfully lighten and tone it on my own. Touch ups are tricky when you double process (and a huge pain in the ass, to boot!) and I don't want to screw it up and destroy my hair. Been there, done that, don't want to grow out yet another disaster. Besides, it would be nice to go in and have my hair done and get a little pampering on a regular basis.
Okay, must run. Stuff to get done. I'll catch all you fine folk later.

Thursday
The day after Wednesday. The day before Friday. I am looking forward to the weekend. *sigh* I so need a weekend. A weekend, a little fun, a little shopping, a little girlie retail therapy. I am finally feeling well enough to get out and about and stir crazy is an understatement of what I am feeling, right now.
My housework is all done, save laundry, which is in progress and dishes, which are happily stewing in hot water, detergent and steam, as I type this. Damn, I *heart* my dishwasher. I scrubbed the bathroom, polished mirrors, scoured pet dishes, dusted, vacuumed the broadloom, swept hard floors, and all the thousand other little things that need doing. I actually got through most of my work without too much tightness in my chest, I hardly coughed and rattled. Is it possible I am beginning to get over this crap? I sure hope so.
Maybe, one day this decade I will once again be well enough to get out and take my walks, again. :P
Food and water are on track.
I am feeling an incredible amount of pressure to have a good weigh in this Sunday and I fear that my scale won't move (again!!!) and I am still getting puffy and a part of me wants to scream. And another part wants to binge away the fear and dread of failure. If I don't have a good number, I will feel like an incredible failure. And it is all going around and around in my head and I want to shut it down. I don't want to feel this. I just want it to go away. I want to make it go away. *breathe!* I don't want to fail and let myself down. More importantly, I don't want to fail and let everybody down. And show myself to be a big, fat, stupid sham. All talk, no action. All bullshit. No results.
A failure.
As usual.
*breathe!*
It is a pretty day, today. Sunny, clear as a bell and cool.
Oh! Cool NSV. I now fit comfortably behind the wheel of the Jeep and I am going to start driving, again. It will be nice to get out and about without having to ask my husband to drive me everywhere. I can also use the seat belts. It has been a long time since I could fit a seat belt around my huge bod. Now that it is a tad less huge, I can be safe, again. It is nice to know that if we have an accident, I won't be thrown around the cabin of the car like a rag doll.
Okay, off to pay attention to my laundry and drink more water. And read blogs. :D
Oh! Don't forget about my $35.00 CSN Stores gift certificate giveaway. Please click the link or the CSN Stores logo at the top of my right hand column to travel to my giveaway post and enter.

Hairy Oatmeal and a Heating Pad for a Cat
Good morning, dearlings. I hope that you all had a restful night's sleep and are facing today full of energy and optimism.
My day has started out well. A little busy but well. I am slurping my water at a great rate, have had my coffee and oatmeal. I have my second load of laundry in the washer and the house is neat and tidy.
Hairy oatmeal. Yuk. Yeah... I was eating my oats, this morning (that made me sound like a horse with her nose in a feed bucket,, hungrily chomping Omaline) and found not one, but two of my hairs in the bowl. Ick! My hair was up, so they must have fallen off my shirt. At least I knew that they were mine. :P I was a bit squicked, but not as squicked I would have been if I had not known who's head they had come from. I mean, EW! in fifty different languages.
I was getting my load of towels in the washer and I walked back through my living room to put my laundry basket in my bedroom when I looked over at my sofa and saw my cat all tucked up and happy on my heating pad. Marley has discovered the joy of a hot spot on which to curl and nap. And he isn't happy when I shag him off and put back on the back of my sofa for my back. lol
Okay, my dryer has stopped and it is time to get that load out and toss in my towels. Maybe I won't have to do laundry for a few days, now. That would be nice. :P

Phase 4 Balls to the Wall
Today was a very good day. I am finished eating at 1205 calories. I am almost finished with my water... One and a half tumblers to go. Some of that will go to bed with me to be slurped throughout the night. So far, so good. 1200 calories isn't that difficult and the water gets easier all the time. :)
I had an okay day, otherwise. I slowly did a couple of loads of laundry, ran and unloaded my dishwasher and helped Willy Dog make my bed. I also scooped the litter box and swept the kitchen and laundry room floors. That was all I could do. I feel like such a sloth but I literally can't do very much. But I do what I can. I need to finish up my laundry tomorrow, I have a couple more loads then that will be done, for a while. I might do my nails, too. I am getting bored with my present polish.
My mind is now blank. I can't, for the life of me think of anything else to talk about.

Ugh! Moar Snow!
So, it snowed some more. And now we are even more socked in, up here. I am never getting out. lol Trapped in mounds of snow. Forever. Truly an Ice Queen.
Bwahahaha! Drama, much? :P
It is going to be a pain for a day or three, but the temps are supposed to be up to fifty, in a couple of days, so this snow is going to melt away, fast and life will return to normal. :)
I took more pictures. And yes, I am going to torture you with them because this is my blog and I can. ^^

Backyard. Deeper in.
When there is no snow, there is a patio and a drop off to the ground, below. It is a foot at the wall, less by the tree.
Sabryna in the snow.
Drop off? What drop off?
The driveway, even more deeply covered, now.
Between the drive and the slope is a high curb. All that is visible of that curb is a slight, long bump in the snow.
I am never getting out of here... lol
My little view of a bit of Prescott
About caffeine and water? Personally, I think that I need more water to make up for the additional fluid loss from the natural diuretic in coffee. The coffee I drink and all the water I am drinking definitely help keep the puff down. It never really goes away, entirely... I have hopes that as I lose more weight, it will resolve and I will not have to worry about it, anymore. Or at least as much.
My chow is on track and I am right on pace with my water. My last load of laundry is in my dryer. Maybe I can just rest my back, this afternoon.
Okay, I am chattered out, now. Thank heaven, huh? :P

Good Morning
I'll tell ya, it is amazing what a reduction in pain and a good night's sleep can do for a girl. I feel a lot better. And rested. I am still moving carefully, not lifting or hefting anything heavy, and hanging with my heating pad. I am doing a little chore here, a bit of whatever there. I am going to give myself the best chance to heal. And be able to get back on the road. I want to walk, dammit!
It is supposed to start snowing, later. Today and tomorrow is predicted to bring an accumulation between four and six inches. Then the next few days are supposed to be really cold. Blargh! I need the snow to melt. Fast! And go. away. Snow is all pretty and ooooh! ahhh! for about five minutes. Then it is just a major pain in the ass. Especially if you live on the side of a frakking hill. :P
Okay, I need to run. I have to pee like a racehorse (yes, that is one of my favourite things to say, how did you guess? :P) I am being a good girl and drinking all my water, and I need to put my sheets in my dryer. And quickly mend the little tear I found in my featherbed. Damned cat, anyway.

Earned My Christmas Dinner, Today
Hello dearlings. I hope that you are having/had a fabulous Christmas.
Mine was nice, tho busy. Housework, tons of laundry, Willy Dog did a little repair work on the TV stand and hooked the DVD player back up, I cooked dinner. Pookey cleaned up and loaded the dishwasher.
I decided that I needed to get some exercise and earn my Christmas dinner so I insisted that we go for a nice walk, today. After the housework was done and the dinner was in the oven, we all laced on our walking shoes and piled in the Jeep and went out to the lake and took a good, hard three mile walk on Kickass Trail. Amey, I thought about you, while we were out there. :) It felt good to get out there and really work the old legs. There were a lot of people out there, people alone and in pairs on bicycles, walking dogs, walking kids, large group families walking dogs and kids. I guess a lot of people had the same idea... Work off or earn some of that Christmas dinner. :D It was a gorgeous day for a walk, warm enough for short sleeves with a breeze to keep one from getting overheated. Lovely. I am not even all that mad that it didn't snow.
I ran a little bit, today. Granted, it was on a down slope and only for about a minute, but I did it. It felt good and I did much better than I did last Summer when I made an attempt. I wasn't shuffling, barely lifting my feet, barely moving forward. This time I actually put on a little speed, got my feet up and really moving. Unfortunately it hurt my poor hip. I still need to get more bulk off my frame before I am going to be able to run, again. But I know that I can. And I feel really proud of myself for trying it, again and actually doing it. :D
I am sitting at just over 1200 calories, including dinner for the day. I may have a sugar free cocoa, later and maybe a sugar free pudding or some popcorn. We'll see what I am in the mood for. Right now, I am still stuffed from dinner. I have just one more big tumbler to get my full four quarts of water down, not counting the 16 ounce bottle I took with me when I went to the lake.
Okay, I have to pee like a racehorse and check on the laundry. You know.. I don't think I am ever going to finish. I am waiting for Willy Dog to take his shower so that I can do up the last load of whites. *sigh* I wish he would get up off the sofa and do that. Dangit! I want to just get it done so that I don't have to hassle with it for a few days. It isn't as if he hasn't seen Home Alone 2 before. Fifty thousand times, before. :P

Merry Christmas
I hope that all of you who celebrate are having a beautiful and happy holiday. For those of you who don't, I hope that you are having a great day.
My little family is having a quiet day. Willy Dog (husband person) is on the sofa chomping potato chips and sharing them with the dog, I am on my puter, slugging water and having just had my morning oatmeal, Pookey (son person) is sleeping in and recovering from yesterday's intestinal distress. He was eating like a horse by evening, so I imagine he is going to be just fine. lol Ah, the cast iron stomach of youth... :P
It is sunny and crisp this morning but it is supposed to warm up later and feel downright Spring-like. A high around 60 or 61.
I am making a roast beast for Christmas dinner, complete with potatoes and carrots and gravy all cooked together in the same pan. I am eating light today and saving my calories for dinner. Yes, I know that is not a good thing to do, but I don't do it often. So... I think I am allowed, today. :D
Okay, I have some housework to do and I need to run my dishwasher and start my laundry. Even on Christmas the housework doesn't stop. :P
Have a fabulous day, and remember, " A moment on the lips, forever on the hips".

Sugar Free Caramel Coffee
Easy-peasy. Make your coffee of choice. Add some fat free half and half and Torani sugar free caramel syrup to taste, stir and enjoy. :D
I haven't made it a secret that I drink instant coffee. Hey, it really isn't that bad, once you get used to it. And I also slurp a lot of tea. I need a teakettle. I had to trash my most recent one because it was full of lime scale and was falling apart. So yesterday, the hunt was on. Time to buy a new one. I searched all over this piece of shit crap cow pattiy kicking bullshit podunk hell town for a good teakettle. I finally found some at Ross. The first store I wanted to try, the last one I got to. No other stores had any that were pretty and affordable. Dillard's had two, a Le Cruset.... Yeah, No. Not for seventy bucks. And a Paula Deen brand kettle. Uh, how many ways can I say Oh Hell No! My last teakettle was her brand and it was a piece of shit. On a stick. I will never buy anything that broad endorses.
So, I finally found the kettle I wanted at Ross. It was a thing of beauty. 1.8 quart, high, arched handle, the little spout cover lever in the handle so that I don't have to risk burning my little digits. And shiny! So, so shiny. I was in love. When I got it home, I gave it a good wash, dried it and filled it up with fresh, cold water and went to put it on my stove. And discovered, to my horror that it leaks! Where the body meets the bottom it isn't sealed properly.
Shit! Now that one has to go back and I have to get something else. *sigh* Back to boiling my coffee and tea water in a small open pot.
We also went all over creation looking for a new microwave. There wasn't one microwave that we liked at a decent price in this entire hellhole of a town. I guess we will have to go to the frakking Valley?
I hate Prescott! Hate it here. Not only do I hate this stupid town, I hate the way that there is nothing decent here, I can't find what I want and need and...
Gah! I just hate it here!
Okay. Rant over.
Food yesterday was good. I ended up just over 1400 calories.
Food is good today, too. I am also back to slugging water like a crazy woman. My poor little ankles are really puffy.
I am watching the Survivor Finale. Just a note, Holly; "stragical", like "stratigary" is not a word.
Laundry day, today. I am ears deep in four loads and I need to go get one out of my dryer, right now. And then I want my lunch. I am hongry.
I'll be back later to read your blogs and maybe yap a bit more, later.

BYOC is Back!
Never mind that I am a day late and a dollar short. I am so behind with my bloggy friends, right now that it is sad. And I am going to work hard today to catch up with all of you. In between trips to the bathroom (water! *blurp*) and loads of laundry.
1. It’s freaking Winter alright? Why then – may I ask – when driving home last night did I see not one, but two MEN – driving big “I’m a man with a small penis so I drive this HUGE truck with deer antlers on the front and playboy mud flaps and mufflers coming out of the box” trucks with their windows OPEN? Why do men do that?
Ah! The eternal question! I think that men just have to be "macho", show the little women that he is the capable, big hunter, the bringer of the food, the supplier of the superior genetic material. It is hard wired in their DNA. I also think that men tend to run a little hot blooded. My husband routinely drives around in his work truck in the dead of Winter, snow all around, with his A/C on.
Also, men are just weird and unexplainable. I stopped straining my brain over them a looong time ago. It isn't worth the pain. Oh! And thanks for the snotsicle visual. *gags and throws up brunch of eggs and mushrooms all over keyboard*
2. Is Richard Simmons gay? Is he straight? Has he ever come out? Does he have a lover?
I believe that Richard Simmons is gay. I can't say for certain; as far as I know, I have never heard or read a direct confirmation of his sexual orientation. I think that he has two very distinct lives. His public life and his private life and I don't think that he mixes the two very much. Perhaps he isn't "out" because of his fan base and fears that confirming his sexual orientation may alienate many of them? I don't really know. I am just shooting in the dark, here. I do hope that he has someone special in his life. I think that we should all have a loving wife/husband/significant other/partner... Whatever you want to call that person. For the record, it doesn't matter to me if he is gay or straight. He is a good hearted person. In my book, that is what matters.
3. What’s your favorite Cmas song?
That is a tough one. I adore Christmas music. But, if pinned down to one, it would have to be "O Holy Night". Preferably as performed by Luciano Pavarotti. I also love "Ding Dong Merrily on High", "Carol of the Bells", "Silent Night", "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer"... I could go on and on. "I'll Be Home for Christmas" makes me cry. Because of my brother, who can't come home for Christmas.
4. What is your most favorite and your least favorite Cmas movie?
I am not a huge Christmas movie fiend. Weird, huh? Considering I like everything else about the holiday and season. Most Christmas themed movies annoy the snot out of me. "A Christmas Story"? Bah! Get it away from me. That family should have been nuked off the face of the planet. Same with that horrid Chevy Chase Christmas movie. *shudders* I loved "It's a Wonderful Life" the first thousand times I saw it. I am now thoroughly over it. I like "Scrooged" and I adore "The Shop Around the Corner". *Waits for three ghosts to show up.*
5. To all my corporate buddies out there….I have an important question. My brother is interviewing for jobs in the corporate world. He has an impeccable resume and good, long, stable job history with many impressive accomplishments. However – no bites after he interviews. He’s convinced they are checking his credit record – which is not great. Now I’ve heard places do that…but really how common is it? I mean I work in a place where our work is completely for the government and classified and export-controlled and deals with citizenship and such and we do NOT check credit scores. How prevalent is this – especially when the jobs he’s applying for are not even in the financial industry?
Okay, this is a HUGE hot button issue of mine. Credit checks are for lenders to determine whether or not they are going to issue credit or lend you money. PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Credit checks to determine whether a person is employable is discrimination of the nastiest, most insidious kind and it should not be tolerated. Ever. A person's credit score is not a reliable indicator of what kind of employee they will be. There are a lot of qualified, reliable, dependable, hard working, good honest people out there who will do a fabulous job with trashed out credit ratings. There are a lot of reasons someone's credit rating goes into the toilet. Often it is beyond that person's control. Life, the economy, a lying, sneaky spouse (hello! Ice Queen, table for one) got in the way and their credit suffered. That doesn't mean that they won't do a fabulous job. IMO, credit checks should be taken out of the equation when making hiring decisions.
Thank you Miz Draz for the great questions and discussion! :D
Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming.
I am having a good day. My mind is in the game, my bod is soaked with water and good protein and I am feeling pretty damned good, again. I have to pee. BRB
Since I got myself back on track and started slurping incredible amounts of water, I feel so. Much. Better. I have banished much of the puff, I feel smaller, tighter, my clothes are a little looser. I am moving better, my joints feel more fluid, hell, my hips are not hurting as much and my knees feel a little better and are crackling less. Another fab side effect is that my irregularity (read constipation) seems to have corrected it's self, without chemical assistance. Imagine that.
Stupid, sneaky snacking is just stupid. Eating stuff I shouldn't just makes me puffy, sick to my stomach and unhappy. It binds me up, slows me down, makes my joints hurt and makes my spirit cry. It abuses me and punishes me. And I don't deserve any of that. I deserve to be nourished, nurtured and cared for. My body is my temple and deserves the best I can give it. I deserve the best I can give myself.
I am worthy.
And chilly! Some days, I have such a tough time warming up. Even tho it is freakishly warm for the time of year. Oh well. Shivering and working to warm ones self burns calories. Bring on the brrrr.
*glugglugglugglug*
Time to go get the clothes out of the dryer, toss in the smalls and start the towel load. Later, gators. <3

Nonsense~~No Nonsense
You have probably seen it, my blog "motto". No nonsense. It suits me. I am kind of a no nonsense kind of girl, most of the time. I am practical, realistic, down to Earth and not much into putting up with bullshit.
I have been doing a lot of thinking about No Nonsense and I have come to the conclusion that this motto can be a lesson and reminder to me. Nonsense... Ill advised eating and snacking. No nonsense... Staying on track and within my calorie target range. Nonsense, standing in front of my pantry cabinet and sneaking a few potato chips. No nonsense, walking past that damned pantry cabinet and forgetting that those stupid chips exist.
I was fantasizing about Son's left over green bean casserole, earlier. I was playing head games with myself. That nonsensical voice was whispering about how good it would taste, all heated up. How it is just this once, that in spite of the mondo calorie load, I have worked hard, it is Thanksgiving weekend and I deserve it. Nonsense. The voice, the desire to heat and gobble that stuff is nonsense. And I am not going to do it.
I need to go troll through Lyn's blog. She had a post a while back on how to prepare a spaghetti squash in the microwave. I have a spaghetti squash on top of my fridge, a few cans of diced tomatoes, some tomato paste and some fresh garlic and mushrooms waiting to make into dinner, tonight. Maybe I'll grate a little light cheddar and pile it all into a baking dish and toss it in the oven until it is all bubbly and gooey. I wish I had some veggie crumbles for protein... Unfortunately, there is no leftover turkey. That would have been good.
Oh! My green bean dish, from yesterday. I don't have exact measurements, I don't measure. But here it is:
A bunch of long, skinny, fresh green beans, topped, tailed, steamed, shocked, drained and set ready.
A can of sliced water chestnuts, drained. (A two serving can.)
Half or 2/3 packet of slivered almonds. (A little packet, with two servings.)
A package of sliced mushrooms. (Or slice up whole 'shrooms.)
A little chicken or vegetable broth.
A fat clove of garlic, smashed and minced.
A little fresh onion or shallot, finely diced.
Pam and buttery spray.
Salt and pepper.
Heat a saute pan lubed with some Pam. Add onion, garlic, 'shrooms. Salt and pepper lightly and saute, adding a little buttery spray when needed to keep things moving nicely until the mushrooms are starting to brown a bit. Add the sliced water chestnuts and almond slivers and more buttery spray, saute a bit more, then add the broth and cook until it reduces away (this will happen fast) and a little more spray, cooking until the chestnuts and almond slivers brown a bit. Add green beans, a little more broth, a bit more buttery spray, you get the idea until the beans heat and are coated nicely. Taste and adjust seasoning. (You can add additional herbs and so forth that you might like.) Chow down.
I don't know what the calorie count is, since I didn't weigh or measure, but taking the almond slivers into account, I guesstimated my portion of this dish at 300. I think that was a little high... But in my opinion, better safe than sorry. I really should measure and weigh, next time I make this so that I can compute the calories. :P
Oh man, that heat feels so good. I am finally warming up.
I am ears deep in laundry and I am taking some foundation for a test drive. I like some things about it... Not so much others. I think this might have to go back. Porcelain Ivory... Not really. We'll see how it wears and how my skin feels about it, over the course of the day. And what the shade looks like. So far, I am not in love.
Okay, I think I will make some lunch. I am getting hongry.

A Sunshiney Day
All of my beautiful rain and clouds have blown away and the sun is shining brightly. My lovely interlude is over.
My weekend, nutritionally wasn't so lovely. I didn't eat enough to gain weight but I certainly didn't eat to lose. I am frustrated with myself. I have really been struggling to stay on track and I don't know what my damage is. I do know that I am allowing myself to slide off track. And it is time to tighten the reigns and get myself back under control.
A lower calorie ceiling is called for. I keep allowing myself to get away with this oh, it is just a couple of hundred over and it is okay and it is getting out of control. So, back to my tougher target range. 1200 to 1400. 1400 is my ceiling. And it is not glass.
I have come too far, worked too hard to let myself go back, now. I will get past this. I just have to do it, soon.
I allowed myself to sleep in, this morning. I needed rest and some additional sleep. I should have gotten up at my usual time. When I came out to my kitchen to put on my teakettle, I saw that my laundry room floor was covered in dog vomit. It. Was. Disgusting. I had to clean up all that barf and wash my floor. The whole time, I was gagging and came dangerously close to adding to the mess. Blech! Gross! What a way to start my day.
At least I got a good night's sleep and actually feel rested. :P
So, yeah. Shitty weekend. Barfy morning. I hope that today is a little better. Food and dog stomach wise. lol
I have laundry to do. I suppose I should get to it.
Happy day.

Sheet Washin' Day!
Oh joy! Oh boy! Another fine, sunny day and another day in which I get to run my washing machine and dryer. But, I will have soft, smooth, yummy smelling sheets, tonight so it will be worth it. Isn't is lovely to slip into bed between freshly washed, softly fragrant cotton sheets?
I am also planning a trying on clothes marathon for later. A couple of very lovely, very generous ladies shared some clothes with me and I am so grateful. I haven't had anything different, new to me in a long time. I think a few things will fit me, right now and others in a few pounds and a few things will go into my "future container" for when I get a bit more weight off. And, when I get too small for them, I can pass them along to others who can wear them.
Ya know what is frustrating? Is that I have to lose so. frakking. much. frakking. weight to go down sizes. *sigh* And that I wear a larger size than I look or my weight would suggest. It also makes me nuts that women who weigh the same as I do or even a bit more wear smaller sizes than I. I know that it is silly and that I shouldn't compare myself to others or worry about what they can or can't compared to what I can or can't, but I can't help myself. I can't help feeling somewhat okay, more than somewhat envious. And as if it isn't fair.
I know... What a whiner. Call the waaahhhmbulance. If I want to wear a smaller size, I need to keep my ass on track and get there. It isn't going to happen by magic. Or by whining and feeling envious.
So there. :P (That was to me... In case you were wondering. ;))
Okay, I need to go toss my sheets in my dryer and make another cup of coffee. I need moar caffeine. I also need something that will make this fucking migraine go. away. Day two of this round and I can barely move my head. Urgh! I am in for a long blow, this time. I was seeing flashy dots in front of my eyes, this morning which is a signal of nothing good. I wish I could just find a hole, crawl into it, go to sleep and wake up when it is over and I can move without my head exploding.
I wonder if I can teach my dog to put my stuff in my dryer and make my bed? :P

Another Good Day
Hey, everyone. I hope that you all had a great day. I had a busy one. Laundry, cleaning, a couple of projects I have been meaning to get to, I frankened some new polishes and did my nails. It is good to keep busy. Keeps me from wanting to stuff my cake hole.
Food is right on track. I have a few calories for a sugar free pudding or a cup of cocoa. I baked off some cherry turnovers for my husband and son, earlier. Needless to say, I will not be indulging. They sure do look good, tho. I love anything with puff pastry and I have to really discipline myself to stay away from those damned turnovers.
My head is bad and I just want to take it off and put it away in a box until it stops hurting. Too bad we can't do that, huh? lol
Okay, I am going to go read blogs for a bit. See how everyone's day went.

A Little Movement
Good morning, everyone.
I jumped on my scale, this morning and saw a small amount of movement. 3.4 pounds in two weeks. Not stellar... I only lost .6 pound, last week so that was 2.8 pounds this week. I am not impressed or happy about it. I am culpable and I need to pull my head out of my ass and do better.
I need to find my mojo. My mojo is off wandering around somewhere, sipping lattes at Starbucks, sniffing late season flowers, gazing at fluffy white clouds dancing across the sky, zig-zagging across ripe, golden fields chasing the last butterflies, diving into leaf piles on someones freshly raked lawn.
Stupid mojo.
I am sucking. I am aware of it. I am working on turning it around.
And I am thankful that I at least lost a few pounds and didn't plateau or gain.
*taking a breath* Not freaking out.
I have a goal. One that is in serious jeopardy thanks to my being a lazy, self indulgent slag. And that isn't going to fly. Time to pull myself up short and stop slipping, grazing, picking, snacking, popping a cheese puff here, a handful of Carolina BBQ chips there. Pop chips aren't bad, but two thirds of a bag of pop chips for lunch is. :P
And this shining on exercise thing I am doing... Not cool.
It is a sunny, chilly morning. And my hampers are full. Laundry day. Yay. Nothing like four loads of dirty, smelly clothes to make a girl feel special on a lovely Autumn day. :P
So, I suppose I should get my second cup of java, my oatmeal and then get to it.

I am Kevelling
I had a busy day, today. Did my housework, then decided to do a few extra projects. I washed my pillows, mattress pad and freshened up my feather bed, today. The feather bed was easy, I just took it out onto my deck, hung it over the railing and spritzed it down well with a mixture of Downy and water in a spray bottle. Let it dry, repeated, flipped it and did the same thing on the other side. Now, you might ask why I don't take it in and have it cleaned. Because it would cost less to just buy a new feather bed. And mine is still in pretty good shape, it was just a bit stale and needed some freshening up. The Downy and water, sunshine and fresh air did the trick.
Two of my pillows are feather, too. I put them in the washer and let it start doing it's thing and looked in to see that they were all blown up, full of air. So I had to push them down into the water and agitate them by hand. In the machine because they wouldn't depuff. (Hmmm... Sounds familiar... :P) Then I let them spin and the washer fill for rinse. Then I had to push them down and agitate them by hand in the rinse water, then I let them spin out. And ran the spin cycle twice more. I had to let them stay in the dryer through three full cycles. Big, fat, king sized feather pillows take a long time to dry thoroughly. lol But they came out clean and fresh and just as fat and fluffy as when they were new. I still don't know if washing them again will be worth the hassle.
While all that was going on, I spritzed my mattress with the Downy and water mix and let it dry under my ceiling fan a couple of times so it could be freshened up, too. And I turned it, as I have been sleeping on the same side since Spring before last.
So, I am tired. I have been working my tail off around here the last couple do fays and my back and hips are killing me and I am taking tomorrow off! lol I will just do straightening and a quick once over, then I am going to plant my ass and rest my poor hip and back.
Lady Lap Band held a giveaway for a Biggest Loser digital food scale and... I won! I am so excited to win a prize in a giveaway and I am really appreciative of this. I need a digital scale, my poor old dial scale finally gave up the ghost and the old budget is tight, so this came at just the right time.
Thank You, Lady Lap Band! <3
Food is good, today. I am topping out at 1440 calories for the day. I'll tell ya, come Thursday I had better have a loss on that scale. If I don't, I have some serious reassessing to do, I guess I am screwing up, somewhere.
Jay Leno just said that some study states that sleeping with a light on can cause obesity. Really? Hmmm... I sleep with a light on. I always fall asleep reading and I am afraid of the dark. So, that is why I am fat? It wasn't all that shit I shoved down my pie hole all those years? Dayumn! Does that mean that if I turn my lamp off and sleep in the dark I will magically be skinny?
There you have it, my sweets. The answer to the obesity epidemic and the reason why you and I are fat. It's those damned bedside lamps.
Chocolate cake for everyone! (Just be sure you turn off that light before you go nighty-night lolol)
All right. Who the heck knocked my plant over? Insensitive so and so's. They knocked down my poor widdle baby philodendron. Where is a triffid when you need it? ^^
Welp... I guess that is all I have, right now.
Goodnight, gentle readers.
Ooops! Sorry about the black font colour. I forgot I have a dark background and I don't know the html code to change the colour. (I know Vb but not html.) And I am not going to re-type all of that.
