That you can fall upstairs? It's true. You can. I know 'cause I did, today. I had finished scrubbing my bathroom and had my phone in one hand, a tube of face "scrub" that I was taking upstairs so that William could remember to return it and I started up the stairs and instead of clearing the riser a couple of steps up, I jammed my right foot into it, instead. I lost my balance and footing and fell down the couple of steps and came to a halt at the bottom. I jammed my toes, knocked the hell out of both knees and thighs, took some skin off my left forearm, wrenched my back and left shoulder and smacked my beak on the step above me as I fell. I now have sore, swollen knees, a big, swollen lump on the top of my left thigh and another spot like it above my right knee. My poor toes are killing me and my fingers on my right hand are stiff. Which is making typing a ton of fun, lemme tell ya. lol
When I fell, I dropped my phone and you want to know what is really sick? It was my first worry when I came in for a landing. I was afraid that I had broken my phone. :P I am stiff, sore and not moving around too fast, right now. Aleve is going to be my bestest friend, for a few days, I am thinking. But I'll live. I'm just thankful that I didn't break anything. Especially my poor beak.
My house smells like caramel and apples and a little like cinnamon. I love scented candles sooo much! They make the air smell so yummy and the flickering light is so warm and welcoming.
Warm is needed, right now! It is much colder, all of a sudden. We got snow, yesterday morning. Just a dusting. But I remembered, later in the morning to grab my camera and fire off a few shots. Some melting had already occurred but there was still enough of the white stuff to show you. I hope that you like the photos. I did the best I could with my busted down old cart horse of a camera. (I am hoping that Santa will be bringing me a new one, this year. It is time, my old one is six years old and really starting to show it's age. lol)
Photographs are clickable.
I just love the shapes of this tree in the below photo and I have been wanting to shoot it for a while, now. :D
I just turned on my fireplace for the first time, today. It is just so chilly in here and my toes are froze and I want some warm. It is already beginning to throw a little heat. I wonder how long it is going to take my cat to figure out that it is on. He loves a good fire. He is currently curled up in a tight little ball on his blanket on the top of the back of the sofa.
It is dark and cloudy, this afternoon and The Weather Channel is threatening more snow. Just an inch or so. Blech! Yuk! Ptooey! Rain is fine, I like rain. But not the fluffy white stuff.
I'm working hard to keep my fat ass on track. And doing a little better, the past few days. Yesterday was a definite good day, I came in under 1500 calories. I should come in right around the same, today. I am also pushing water, I had been slacking on my slurping and was feeling the effects. It is good to be getting more hydration, again. I would like to take a walk, but I am going to need a few days to heal and unstiffify. (Yeah, I know it isn't a word. But I am using it, anyway. :P) I think that I am going to go take a really hot shower, in a bit. That should help to soothe me and loosen up some of my stiff and sore muscles.
Jeeze! I am such a klutz! lol
I just put Marley down in front of the fireplace. He is now sitting there, staring into the flames and giving himself a little bath. He will probably pass out soon. He likes to sleep in front of the fireplace with his paws stretched out to the heat vents and hose up all of the warm. :D
Okay, so I think that is about all I have to yap about, for right now. I'll talk to you all, soon.

Testing, Testing... 1... 2... 3...
So, I installed a Blogger app to my smartphone and this is my test post to see if it actually works.
It seems easy, so far. We'll see how pictures and the like go, in the future.
I do know one thing... Posting from this phone will not be a regular thing. My touch keyboard has very small keys. It is a pain in my ass and typos abound! Gah!!!
But it is nice to be able to post from my phone if I need to.

Yesterday....
All my troubles seemed so faaaaar away...
Is that song stuck in your head, now? ^^
It is stuck in mine. :P
So, good day, yesterday. Got in all of my water and was only over by 20 with my calories. I know that 1200 means 1200 but I seriously doubt that 20 calories will make any difference. Tho over the space of a year...
Okay. I was over. And I need to work harder to be better on track.
I got a new toy, today. A Verizon LG Vortex phone. It runs on Android and it is such a cool phone. 3G wireless Internet, e-mail, apps galore and more to be had... I have a lot to learn, now. My last cell phone was a Razr, so all this new-fangled stuff the kids are playing with is all new to me. I have to learn how to use the Internet on my phone, how to access, read and post to my blogs, take and store and send pictures and video, synch my music to my phone from my 'puter, do e-mail, text, Facebook... Hell, maybe I'll even do Twitter. Maybe. :D I am going to be a busy beaver for a while. Now I don't have to buy an MP3 player! I can just move my music playlist from my PC to my phone. Yay! My phone is charging, right now. Then I can settle in for some serious getting to know you.
Touchscreens rule, BTW. I just have to figure out how to best use it with my nails. lol
It is pretty and sunny, today. A little chilly but very nice. My cat is taking advantage of the open window, sitting on the sill and enjoying the fresh air and watching birdies. He sure loves an open window. It is the closest he is allowed to going outside. Yes, I am one of those indoor cats stay indoors people. I just believe it is safer for him. Also, he was a former wild boy and just a short period of time outside causes him to revert and then he has to go through the adjustment to house living period all over again, which is hard on him. So, indoors he stays.
I am slurping my water. On track with my food. And I need to go close that frakking window. Brrr!
Less coughing, today. Breathing is loosening up, too. I am going to try walking on Monday and see how it goes. Hopefully I will finally be well enough and good to go.

Hairy Oatmeal and a Heating Pad for a Cat
Good morning, dearlings. I hope that you all had a restful night's sleep and are facing today full of energy and optimism.
My day has started out well. A little busy but well. I am slurping my water at a great rate, have had my coffee and oatmeal. I have my second load of laundry in the washer and the house is neat and tidy.
Hairy oatmeal. Yuk. Yeah... I was eating my oats, this morning (that made me sound like a horse with her nose in a feed bucket,, hungrily chomping Omaline) and found not one, but two of my hairs in the bowl. Ick! My hair was up, so they must have fallen off my shirt. At least I knew that they were mine. :P I was a bit squicked, but not as squicked I would have been if I had not known who's head they had come from. I mean, EW! in fifty different languages.
I was getting my load of towels in the washer and I walked back through my living room to put my laundry basket in my bedroom when I looked over at my sofa and saw my cat all tucked up and happy on my heating pad. Marley has discovered the joy of a hot spot on which to curl and nap. And he isn't happy when I shag him off and put back on the back of my sofa for my back. lol
Okay, my dryer has stopped and it is time to get that load out and toss in my towels. Maybe I won't have to do laundry for a few days, now. That would be nice. :P

Good Morning
I'll tell ya, it is amazing what a reduction in pain and a good night's sleep can do for a girl. I feel a lot better. And rested. I am still moving carefully, not lifting or hefting anything heavy, and hanging with my heating pad. I am doing a little chore here, a bit of whatever there. I am going to give myself the best chance to heal. And be able to get back on the road. I want to walk, dammit!
It is supposed to start snowing, later. Today and tomorrow is predicted to bring an accumulation between four and six inches. Then the next few days are supposed to be really cold. Blargh! I need the snow to melt. Fast! And go. away. Snow is all pretty and ooooh! ahhh! for about five minutes. Then it is just a major pain in the ass. Especially if you live on the side of a frakking hill. :P
Okay, I need to run. I have to pee like a racehorse (yes, that is one of my favourite things to say, how did you guess? :P) I am being a good girl and drinking all my water, and I need to put my sheets in my dryer. And quickly mend the little tear I found in my featherbed. Damned cat, anyway.

Doing Better
I think I just needed to grab myself by the scruff of the neck and give myself a little shake. I am doing much better, today. I feel calmer, more in control and not freaking myself out and letting stupid thoughts talk me into bad for me actions.
Thank you all so. much! for your support and encouragement and ass kicking and just being here, whether you comment or not. You are all my lifeline. And I couldn't do this, as well as I am without all of you. <3 <3 <3
Well, I took a step past the point of no return, today. I cleared out some of the 5X and 6X tops out of my closet, five of them and offered them on Freecycle. I received five replies, but one lady's e-mail really touched me. So much so that I decided to offer her one of my fleece jackets and a pair of stretch denim pants, as well. I think she will probably accept the additional items. I just wish I had more to shre with her, right now because I think that she really needs these things.
Anyway, the step past the point of no return is that I have a pair of identical pants a couple of sizes smaller to the pair I offered to this gal. I discovered the other day that much to my delight that they now fit me. (I haven't worn those pants in years.) So I am wearing them out and about and the larger pants were just hanging in my closet, taking up a much needed for other stuff hangar. If the gal to whom I offered the larger pants accepts them, they will be gone. Forever. No going back. No safety fatter pants. No fallback. I am committed to staying on track, because going heavier will not be an option. I won't have anything to cover my arse, if I do.
Incentive, indeed. People don't need to be seeing my bare arse. Waaay too much cottage cheese action, going on back there. Not a pretty sight. lol Besides, it is Winter-ish. I would freeze my ass off. And, I might not like the size of my ass, right now but I still kinda need it. It has a job to do. :P
Day after tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day, here in the states. Do all of my fellow turkey gobbling Americans have your Thanksgiving plans firmed up? Your calorie coping strategies in place? Healthy options ready to place on your table, or pack up to haul over the river and through the woods so that you can get through the day the best way you can? I do. And I am looking forward to the holiday. I will have both of my guys here and I have kitteh treats for Marley and a huge Ultimate Busy Bone as a Thanksgiving treat for Sabryna. It is going to be just the five of us, this year. A quiet, laid back, easy day, for a change. I love and enjoy the all day cookathon and I love, love, love to entertain and have company but a more intimate holiday will be a lovely, welcome respite. :D
Oh, speaking of Sabryna... She is feeling fine. She has always had a goosey tummy, has always been prone to tossing her cookies. It is a pain in the ass and gross, in the extreme. But it is how she rolls. She actually knows to ask to be put outside when she feels as if she is going to hurl and most of the time, I can get her outside before she blows. But I was asleep, when she was sick, this morning so she had no choice but to lose it all over my floor. Poor baby girl. I know that she didn't want to barf in the house.
Now, if I could just teach Marley to hack up his frakking hairballs in his litter box, instead of under my dressing table or my bed... :P

Creeping... Creeping...
I weighed, this morning. 316.4 down 1.8 pounds. I'll take it. :)
Creeping slowly, steadily downward.
Tammy, I read your comment on my last post and almost sprayed coffee all over my laptop. Damn, girl. You are as evil as I am. ^^ lol But seriously, no. I don't buy the turnovers and make them for him. He buys them, brings them home and asks me to bake them off for him. I won't even pick up the box and put them in the cart at the grocery store. As I have said, before he has to have his own come to Jesus moment. I can't do that for him. I would, if I could.
It is a brisk morning. The temp is up to 28 degrees. My cat is blissing out in front of my fireplace. I am enjoying my first cup of coffee of the morning. My brain is slowly waking up and my eyes are beginning to focus. I might actually be awake.
Maybe. :P

Birthday, Feeding Frenzy, Cat Barf and a Boiled Snatch
My cat gave me the perfect Birthday present. A pile of barf under my dressing table.
Husband gave me a card.
I had a feeding frenzy, earlier. I got a hair up my ass and went off on myself a bit. Ya want to know what is fantastic and weird? Feeding frenzy is as far as I could go. I am no longer physically capable of bingeing. Cool, huh? I had too many calories, this afternoon but nowhere near the damage I had decided to do. All in all, it came in under 1000 calories. Some feeding frenzy, huh? lol I am over my snit and back on track.
Dinner will be a good healthy meal. Chicken, a little rice, veg.
Guess my Birthday freaked me out a bit more than I thought it would. lol Food didn't help. Lesson learned. Next time, try vodka. ;) :P
This danged face cream is going back! So is that useless eye roller goo thingy. Garnier skincare... Sucks. Big green donkey dicks. The cream is blah, makes my face red and my eyes itch and burn and the depuffing eye roller is useless. I don't know why I bought that... I don't have puffy eyes. I have dark circles. Anyhoozle, that is over twenty bucks going back into my pocket. And I can get my lovely Neutrogena. I am also returning that crap nail polish I applied, yesterday. If you see it in your local drugstore, Confetti nail polish is garbage. I am not a polish snob... I have a ton of inexpensive drugstore polish that I just adore. This particular brand blows.
So, have you ever boiled your snatch? I did, today. I was in the rare mood for a really hot shower, as hot as I could stand it and a nice steam. So, I fired up my shower and got my lobster on. Turned my little bathroom into a right proper swamp and enjoyed every moment of it. Until I went to rinse my lady bits. I went in with my handheld to take care of the job and... Eeeeeeeeyowch! Boiled snatch. Dumbass me forgot to turn the water temperature down before rinsing that most delicate of areas. I won't make that mistake, again. I still feel a little scalded.
I am glad that this day is almost over. I think I have had enough fun.
Time to go check my rice and chicken. I must be recovering from this afternoon, dinner actually smells good and my stomach is growling.
Later, gators. :)

Mani of the Moment: Black Opals
Today was time to do a fresh manicure. The decals on my nails were a pain, they were wearing off and my nails were looking bedraggled so off with the old and on with the new. I decided to do a two layer mani, using China Glaze Liquid Leather and Sinful Colors Green Ocean.
I bought Green Ocean a few weeks ago at Walgreen's. I saw it swatched in a blog and thought that it would make a nice substitute for Nfu-Oh flakies that are just not in my budget, right now. The Sinful has a mix of glitter and flakes in a slightly green clear base. It is really pretty in the bottle and on the nails, too. I love the colour shifts, from green to blurple to blue, depending on the light and the angle at which it is viewed.
I started with two coats of China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base. I did two coats, as I wasn't sure if the black polish will stain or not. Then I did three coats of Liquid Leather. It is thin, but it builds to a deep, true black. I love how easy this polish was to control. I did a surprisingly neat polish job and clean up was fast and easy. :D

China Glaze Liquid Leather. In light coming in through my window, no flash. Look how shiny! :D I like this polish and will be wearing it on it's own, too.
With three coats of Sinful Colors Green Ocean. I think I went a little overboard with the stuff but I was entranced by it and had to put on more, more, more. :D
My kitteh, Marley helped me model my manicure. Or, should I say, he tolerated me using his pretty orange coat as a backdrop for my nails. lol You can click the kitteh for a larger pic. :) (Please forgive the dried out skin... I was waiting for my polish to dry enough to moisturise my hands.)
I like this look a lot. It is enchanting and a little mesmerizing. I have a hard time keeping my peepers off my nails. I think that they look like black opals. :D
