A New Month

A new entry count. :D

I am happy to have another holiday under my belt. Not literally... I didn't really eat any different that I normally do. I am just happy that it is over.

My day landed at 1280, yesterday. That included a handful of potato chips and a lot of watermelon. My big splurge... lol

I seriously need a new food scale. My old one is not in the mood to be adjusted to zero, any longer. Dial scales are evil and don't deserve to live amongst us any longer. Digital food scale, here I come.

I don't know why I am nattering, right now. I really don't have all that much to talk about. I did have something in mind, earlier but as usual, I can't remember it, now.

  1. Happy June! I had both, and yeah, the digital scale is WAY superior! Congrats on making it through a holiday and still eating healthy :)

  2. I post dribble today myself. I have both kinds of scales and I much prefer the digital. You can get one at Walmart for less than 20 bucks.

  3. I've never owned a scale. I guess I've pretty much relied on using measuring cups and my old standby, my fist or the palm of my hand to indicate a portion size. It's been pretty effective. I like Debbie's idea of a digital scale. It seems like it would be more accurate.

  4. I invested in a digital scale about a year ago and it has made a HUGE difference. I find that filling a 1/4 cup container doesn't necessarily equal two ounces of the item... especially things that aren't uniform in size (ie. cheese, nuts). Try to find one with a removeable top that you can wash, they cost a little extra but are way worth it.

  5. I have a little scale but never think about using it. A digital sounds better.

  6. I love potato chips. Just sayin'.

  7. I natter on my blog because no one else listens or responds to me when I talk. How sad is that? Great job on the day's calories yesterday!

  8. Sherry, everyone should be listening. You have things to say. :D

Chris, right? And it is unrealistic to think I will never eat another one as long as I live. And a handful isn't a bag full. :D

Thanks to the ringing endorsements, I am definitely getting a digital food scale. Measuring cups work great for most things but some stuff just needs to be weighed.

Debbie, I am glad that I am not the only natterer around. :D
