Can I get an Amen!?!?!
I really don't have a hell of a lot to yap about, right now. I have a few thoughts stewing but they aren't fork tender, yet.
My day is going pretty well. I did nosh on some pretzel sticks and mustard (200 calories worth... Yes, I did weigh them.) and then followed that up with a 100 calorie Klondike ice cream sandwich. I am snacking a bit more, lately. I think I need to make popcorn, rather than grabbing pretzels or lo cal ice cream. I am not blowing my calorie limit but I am blowing my calories... If you know what I mean.
My hips have spoken and I must obey. Today is a rest day.
Brining chicken overnight results in tender, juicy, moist and flavourful yum.
Husband just got home, I need to run.
Later, gators. :D
Amen on the sweet puppy!
ReplyDeleteI need a day of rest...any idea where I can find one?
You can get more than an Amen.. I will give you a whole rosary.. We have that F'in dog killer Michael Vick here in Philly and everyone hates him and the Eagles for signing him on.. no one can forgive him for those hideous crimes.. so yes sister,, you got more than an AMEN
ReplyDeleteAMEN from me!
ReplyDeleteAmen from me, too! Ugh. Vick near me would make me sick. It's good to hear that the good people of Philadelphia are responding to him and the Eagles that way. What a slap in the face to fans.
ReplyDeleteGood walk yesterday! (I'm sorry about the rude runners.) The only thing bad about the walk is that it's probably why your hip is so bad today. I hate to see you in pain, even if it is for a good reason.
Yeah, if you're going to eat 1200 kcal., you probably should eat only the Klondike, or not more than 100-150 kcal./day. But normally your eating is extremely healthful, so a day or two isn't going to devastate your physiology. I didn't know pretzels were that high-cal; I thought they were much better than potato chips. I'd better look these things up. But it sounds like a good snack--and who can resist the mustard?
I had a strange dog happening today in my front yard. It waas shitzu and when we went outside he started barking...so we backed up, he followed...we came forward, he barked and started to run..so we followe d him...up the street to his house. We knocked on the door and his owner answered. Apparently he had gotten out under the gate and had been 'missing'.
ReplyDeleteI often think Dogs are much smarter than we give them credit for. They love unconditionally.
If God is a dog, Micheal Vick is in a sh*tload of trouble.
Amen sista!
ReplyDeleteWhat is brining chicken? I've never heard of it but it sounds good and I'm really tired of plain baked chicken. Would you pretty please post your recipe or email it to me?
Later gator :)
How does one brine chicken?
ReplyDeleteAmen! I have two little fuzzy babies and cannot imagine what those people are thinking. Don't get me started.
ReplyDeletePretzels and mustard sound good. I almost bought pretzels yesterday but passed them by and got popcorn instead. Still not good for me...too many carbs.
